Hockey’s Back

What else can I say? Hockey is back, and as Justin Timberlake would say “I’m Lovin’ It”.

After tonight Montreal has 4 wins and only 1 loss… they are awesome! I have been able to watch all their games so far (except for saturday night against the Leafs because I was at a wedding in Windsor — where, strange enough, one of my teachers from highschool was also at) thanks to Rogers for having a free preview of their NHL Centre Ice package. Unfortunatly the preview ends tonight, and if I want to watch any more hockey games I have to pay $140 for the season. That really sucks, and I don’t think I’ll be doing it. As important as hockey is, I can think of better things to spend that kind of money on… like gas.

Other than that, not much to report. I’ve been following some of Apple‘s new announcements. Their new program called Front Row has some awesome features, which pretty much turns your Mac into the equivalent of Microsoft’s Media Center Edition of Windows XP. Funny enough, I was watching a tech news show the other night, and the guy just said off the top of his head “you know, apple doesn’t have a media center-like version of their OS”. Well, it looks like he either knew something, or he’s a true visionary.

Also, they released a new iPod that plays VIDEO! And they haven’t been jacking up the price. The only thing that is stopping me from going insane for buying my iPod so ‘early’ is that I’ve gotten a year’s worth of use out of it. But really, I’m kicking and screaming right now.
