Out of some strange feeling of curiocity I went back to the Shuffle Demons website (the band who organised the world record performance that I participated in). After what seems to be a very long process of filling out forms and providing evidence they have officially awarded the Shuffle Demons and all of us participants the WORLD RECORD for the largest saxophone ensemble.
