… and the only perscription is more World of Warcraft.
Blizzard recently released 4 fresh new realms, and I haven’t wanted to play more than I do right now. But why couldn’t they have waited until after exams, or even for the start of exams? They had to do it right when I was starting to try and be responsable and get some of my final assignments done early so I don’t have an aneurism during the last few days of school.
This newly rekindled affection for World of Warcraft all kind of started a few days ago when I was trying to come up with an essay topic for my Humanities course on ‘crossings’. I was thinking of doing something about the mixing between social ‘stuff’ and technology: social network websites like myspace or friendster, online persistent worlds like Everquest and World of Warcraft, and various other websites that recommend or connect people to others of similar interests (Del.icio.us, Digg, etc).
So, something that was supposed to be for school is now turning into a time and money sink for me. Who knows how long its going to take for them to release a new realm, so I think pretty soon I’ll crack and sign up for another month of World of Warcraft and see if I can get back into it.
